Tribunal confirms Ambode as Lagos governor

Lagos- The Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday dismissed the

petition filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Jimi Agbaje seeking to nullify the result of the April 11 governorship election in the state, reports newsmail


The tribunal in its ruling affirmed the election of Akinwunmi Ambode as the governor of the state.

The tribunal judgement was read by its chairman, Justice Muhammad Sirajo .
Agbaje had filed the petition, despite acknowledging and conceding defeat at the polls.
